Lent sessions 2017

Lent sessions 2017 in the Woodfield team

The aim of our Lent sessions was to draw closer to God through learning about, and using, the basic spiritual practices of the Christian faith. Spiritual practices help us to draw near to God and open our senses to Him. The 40 days of Lent are a time when Christians have, for hundreds of years, reflected on their following of Jesus and their desire to heighten their pursuit of God and God’s will for our lives. The 4 Lent sessions this year are designed to help us in this search.

We looked, for example, at how prayer, scripture, Holy Communion, fellowship all help us to draw closer. Over 40 gathered each week to learn together and to talk to together and it waa great!

Thanks to all who took part.
