Little Fishes pre-school group meeting outside

After more than a year of Zoom, we’re  very excited to announce that Little Fishes will be meeting in-person, outside from Friday 7th May at 10am. For those who are new to in-person Little Fishes we will be meeting in the vicarage front garden, just to the right of  Measham church  (on the high street, DE12 7HZ). Initially it will run 10am - 10:40am, but may overrun if we're having too much fun. Book here:  to guarantee your place.

A typical session will be as follows (this may well change on the day),

1.Sign in and pay £1 per family, either in cash, or via a QR code on the day. There will be markers for you to stand on if there's a queue to get in.

2.Collect a craft bag and bag of toys for each child and make your may to one of the mats laid out. Under 5s don't have to social distance (phew!) but it would be great if they can. Adults should try and social distance, from others not in their bubble, where possible (obviously don't worry when retrieving children). If you need a chair rather than sitting on a mat, let me know when booking.

3.They'll be about 10-15 minutes to do the craft, play with the toys and chat. We can't provide soft toys or share toys at the moment so feel free to bring your own if there's anything they particularly want.

4.There be story time when the children can have a snack and drink. I'm really sorry, we're not allowed to provide them at the moment, so please bring your own.

5.We'll have some Nursery Rhymes and songs. Covid rules say that only 6 adults can sing with the children so if you're a budding Madonna, now you're chance to shine (or if you hate singing, you've now got a really good reason not to!)

6.We'll finish with a short prayer before packing up and going.

As we'll be outside, we're at the mercy of the weather, so please dress appropriately. If it absolutely chucks it down, we'll move to Zoom and Helen will message everyone if that happens.

We're restricted on numbers so I'd invite everyone to book either on : , on Facebook: woodfieldchurcheschildrenswork  or by emailing Vivien on You don't have to book, and we’re happy for people to book and cancel at the last minute, but we’d hate to turn people away in the unlikely event that we have too many people. Booking also means that they'll be enough craft bags for everyone, as these need doing in advance.

As we journey out of lockdown of lock-down if there is anything we can pray about for you or any more practical help we can offer do not hesitate to let us know.

God bless,   Helen, Vivien and Fiona (the Little Fishes team)
