St John’s Transformation Project

 Last month we announced more details about the transformation project. Its overall title being “HEART”, (open doors, open space, open minds). It is an ambitious project to use St John’s Church to provide not only spiritual sustenance but to create an Open Community Space for the use of all. These set out the project from different views of people involved and living in the community, In Church at present there is a display of what we are trying to provide along with Brochures setting out what it will look like on completion.

 In the week commencing 14th February we had successful meetings with both the Architect and Building contractor to finalise costs and set out or final Fund Raising push. We also confirmed that the project would take 8 - 10 months to complete and we could possibly start late Autumn/early winter. You may begin to see some preliminary works starting before these dates.

There will be a public launch of the project on Wednesday 30th March at 7.00pm in Church and also Sunday 3rd April at our 10.00 am. Service in Church which will set out the whole project pictorially and the various stages.
